On Friday November 18th students from M3 at SIS embarked on a 12 hour sponsored Badminton match, playing from early evening until early morning. Armed with sleeping bags, provisions, pyjamas, racket and shuttle cock the students eagerly met the challenge of non-stop play, catching a little shut eye in between their allotted games. Their aim was to raise awareness and funds for a new school in southern Uganda, Nabugabo Community School, and they succeeded in both. Overall students managed to raise over 1000€, which will be used to buy much needed classroom materials for the primary school, which will provide free education for underprivileged children many of whom are AIDS orphans. For more information about Nabugabo Community School visit their web site at www.ncschooluganda.org or email them at ncsuganda@gmail.com.
